In the next series of photographs you will see how piling the foundations is done

With the piles in place the next procedure is to link them altogether by a series of steel rods in the form of beams

After the trench is complete to save on the amount of concrete required the trench is shuttered either side to the width required for the foundation

In this photograph the clamps that hold the shuttering can just be seen 

At this point the foundation has been widened, and you can just see two of the sunken piles, one either side

Here in this photograph we see a close-up of the pile. In the centre a steel rod is suspended which later will be filled with concrete holding firm the beams to the pile
